These verses challenge us to open up our spiritual eyes to see clearly all the broken people that surround us each day. Not only see them but take time and effort to minister to them in their pain. Once we have their attention be sure to share the love of God and watch the miraculous transformation that will unfold! This is the greatest way to point others to Christ and to bring Him praise.

The early church in Jerusalem continued to grow rapidly as thousands were reached with the Gospel message! With that amazing growth the Apostles quickly realized that they needed helpers to keep unity and minister to all the needs. Here we see the ministry of the first Deacons and the way that they blessed the church and their community. They were nominated by their church family and set appart for this very important work. May each of us strive to be faithful and available like these first servants!

These early believers had received their marching orders, but were ordered to wait for a Divine helper before they began to march. Prepare to be amazed by the precise time the Lord had chose for the Holy Spirit's awesome arrival. His grand entrance left no doubt in these believer's minds and everyone else's that something incredible took place. And finaly, we will all discover that the Holy Spirit's purpose is always to display the glory of God and to point the lost toward the salvation that is found only in Him.

We can clearly see in this passage that our Lord is sovereighn over all and validated such by His glorious resurrection from the dead. We also are reminded that we desperately need the power of God to do His work. And finally we are commanded to be faithful witnesses to everyone; from least to rich, from weak to st rong, from beggar to the king himself. Who can you share the Good news with this week?

The final message in a sermon series entitled 'Common Threads of a Close Walk'. This message is called The Grateful One and is based primarily on Luke 7:36-50. In these verses we see an amazing display of grattitude from a sinful woman whom the Lord chose to set free from bondage. She had experienced the mercy and grace of God and wasn't going to let anything get in the way of her showing her thankfulness. We see a beautiful act of love, followed by a life of faithful devotion. This story begs each of us to ask a thoughtful question of ourselves: how thankful are we for what God has done in our lives and how do we show our grattitude?

We can clearly see that this missionary had an earnest desire to know his Lord and Savior intimately. Out of that relationship came a determination to fulfill his God given call, with the desire to give God all the praise. We know that Paul finnished his christian race triumphantly; but what about each of us. Are you in the race? Are we bringing God much glory?

The Lord has chosen us to be a part of His family and we are covered by His amazing love. As a great Father he encourages his children to follow him and he continually helps us to stay on His path. And finaly He is the perfect example of sacrificial love and He asks us to serve our families as he served us.
